GRA Engages Business Associations On Rollout Of Integrated Tax Administration System

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has engaged business associations in Accra on the rollout of the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), a major digital initiative aimed at modernising tax administration and improving taxpayer experience across the country.

The engagement formed part of the Authority’s efforts to educate key stakeholders on the new platform and prepare businesses for its phased implementation.

During the meeting, officials of the GRA outlined the system’s roadmap, implementation strategy, and expected benefits, emphasizing that ITAS will serve as a single digital platform for managing tax-related services and interactions.

According to the Authority, the introduction of ITAS is expected to simplify tax processes, improve efficiency, enhance transparency, and strengthen service delivery for taxpayers nationwide.

Stakeholders were taken through the various phases of the rollout and informed about how the platform will streamline tax registration, filing, payment, and compliance processes, reducing the need for manual procedures and improving accessibility.

The GRA noted that the system forms part of broader efforts to leverage technology to strengthen revenue administration, increase operational efficiency, and provide a more convenient and user-friendly experience for taxpayers.

Participants also had the opportunity to seek clarification on aspects of the implementation process and share feedback on how the system can best meet the needs of the business community.

The Authority expressed confidence that collaboration with business associations and other stakeholders will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of ITAS and advancing Ghana’s digital transformation agenda within the tax administration sector.

The rollout of the Integrated Tax Administration System is expected to significantly enhance tax administration and support efforts to build a more transparent, efficient, and responsive revenue collection framework in Ghana.
