West Africa Pharma & Healthcare Expo 2026 Opens In Accra
The 5th Edition of the West Africa Pharma & Healthcare Expo 2026 officially opened on 8th June 2026 at the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together over 100 exhibitors from India, Turkey, USA, Egypt, Italy, Ghana and other markets and an expected 4,000-5,000 professional trade visitors from across West Africa.
Delivering the welcome address, Mr. Praveen Singh of ACE Group said the expo, has grown from a small 5-person team in 2022 into one of the region’s leading healthcare and pharmaceutical trade platforms.
“Today marks another significant milestone in our journey, and I am delighted to see so many distinguished healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, distributors, investors, and innovators gathered under one roof,” Singh said.
Singh noted Ghana’s emergence as one of West Africa’s most dynamic healthcare markets, citing a growing population, rising health awareness, expanding hospital infrastructure, and strong demand for medicines, medical equipment, diagnostics, and healthcare technology.
“The country imports a substantial volume of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, laboratory equipment, healthcare technologies, and hospital supplies each year, creating immense opportunities for international partnerships, technology transfer, local manufacturing, and investments,” he said.
The expo was launched in 2022 with a vision to connect West African healthcare stakeholders with global manufacturers and innovators.
Singh said the platform now serves as a “gateway for discovering innovative products, exploring new technologies, building strategic partnerships, attracting investments, and advancing healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical manufacturing throughout West Africa.”
Singh said the expo’s growth has been guided by one philosophy: “We do not see anyone as our competitor. Our biggest competitor is ourselves.”
“Every year we challenge ourselves to do better than the previous year.
We strive to improve the quality of exhibitors, attract more professional visitors, create more business opportunities, bring more innovation, and deliver greater value to the industry,” he stated.
That mindset has helped ACE Group and Astrovision Global expand globally.
The organizers now run pharma and healthcare exhibitions in South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Malaysia, and the Philippines, with plans to enter Zimbabwe this year and Botswana next year.
From just 5 team members in 2022, the organization has grown to over 50 professionals specializing in sales, exhibitor relations, marketing, operations, and government liaison.
The inauguration was attended by key sector leaders including Dr. Hafez Adam Taher, Director of Technical Coordination, Ministry of Health; Prof. Samuel Debrah, President, Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons; Dr. Caroline Reindorf Amissah, Deputy Director General, Ghana Health Service; Mr. V.N. Parameswaran, Charge d’Affaires, High Commission of India in Ghana; and Pharm. Dr. Yvonne Yirenkyiwaa Esseku, Rector, Ghana College of Pharmacy, among others.
The 5th edition is organized by Astrovision Global FZCO, Dubai and ACE Group under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Ghana and with support from the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry. Partners include AGI, PSGH, GUTA, FOAMEDDMS, GNCP, and CCI France Ghana.
“As we officially inaugurate the 5th Edition, I encourage every participant to make the most of this unique platform. Build new relationships, explore new technologies, identify business opportunities, exchange knowledge, and work together toward a healthier and more prosperous future for Ghana and West Africa,” Singh concluded.
