Mother Of Former NPA CEO Mustapha Abdul-Hamid Passes Away

Hajia Adama Musah, the mother of Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, has passed away after a short illness.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on behalf of the family by Haruna Maiga, aide to the former Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority and former Minister of State.

According to the statement, Hajia Adama Musah died on Friday, June 12, 2026, leaving behind children, grandchildren, relatives and loved ones who are mourning her passing.

Funeral arrangements released by the family indicate that Janaza (Islamic funeral) prayers will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Police Mosque at 10:00 a.m.

Following the prayers, the body will be conveyed to the Madina Muslim Cemetery for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

The family has extended an invitation to friends, sympathisers and members of the public to join them in paying their final respects to the deceased.

Messages of condolence have begun pouring in for Dr. Abdul-Hamid and his family as they come to terms with the loss of their mother and matriarch.

In the statement, the family invoked the Islamic declaration, “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un” — “From Allah we came and unto Him is our return” — in remembrance of the deceased and in acceptance of God's will.
