Sports Ministry Rallies Support For Black Stars Ahead Of World Cup Campaign


The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has extended its best wishes to the Black Stars as Ghana’s senior national football team begins its latest quest for success on the world stage.

In a goodwill message issued ahead of the team's opening match, the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams, together with the management of the ministry, urged the players to represent the nation with pride, determination and confidence.

The goodwill message was signed by Bagbara Tanko, Head of Public Relations and Communications, on behalf of the Minister.

The ministry described the occasion as a historic moment for Ghanaian football and encouraged the team to draw inspiration from the support of millions of Ghanaians both at home and abroad.

According to the statement, the Black Stars carry not only the nation's colours but also the hopes and aspirations of the Ghanaian people whenever they step onto the pitch.

The ministry commended the players and technical team for their dedication and preparation, urging them to approach every match with courage and a strong fighting spirit.

“Play with pride, fight fiercely for every ball, and leave a lasting legacy,” the statement said.

The message further encouraged the players to give their best throughout the tournament and showcase the resilience, talent and excellence associated with Ghanaian football.

Reaffirming the nation's support, the ministry noted that the entire country stands firmly behind the Black Stars as they seek to make an impact on the global stage.
