Okyeame Kwame To Build GHs4 Million Pediatric Unit At Manhyia Hospital


Ghanaian music icon Okyeame Kwame has announced plans to undertake a major philanthropic project to construct and equip a pediatric unit at the Manhyia Hospital in Kumasi, as part of activities marking his 50th birthday celebrations.

The initiative, valued at approximately GHS4 million, was disclosed during a courtesy call on the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mohammed Abdul Salam, where discussions were held on the scope and impact of the project.

According to the NLA, the project is expected to significantly enhance pediatric healthcare delivery at the facility, improving access to quality medical care for children in Kumasi and surrounding communities.

Mr. Abdul Salam commended the musician for what he described as a strong commitment to philanthropy and national development, noting that the initiative reflects a meaningful contribution to the health sector.

He expressed admiration for the project and extended his best wishes to Okyeame Kwame as he embarks on the charitable endeavour.
