The visit, which took place on June 12, 2026, provided an opportunity for officials from the Ministry to engage with GIFEC’s leadership and staff on the organisation’s mandate, programmes, achievements, and strategic direction.

Leading the engagement, GIFEC’s Director of Operations, Mr. Osman Zacharia Yahaya, delivered a presentation on the Fund’s mandate, strategic priorities, and its critical role in advancing Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.

He highlighted GIFEC’s ongoing efforts to expand access to information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, bridge the digital divide, and promote digital inclusion across underserved and rural communities.

The Director of Human Resource and Administration, Ms. Rebecca Torshie Ashare, and her Deputy, Dr. Abdulai Bonchel Duut, who also serves as Head of Sustainability, Diversity and Accessibility (SDA), were also present during the engagement.

Heads of various units within GIFEC made presentations on the accomplishments of their departments, ongoing projects, and future plans aimed at enhancing digital connectivity and supporting national development objectives.
