The incident occurred after hours of intense rainfall triggered the collapse of the structure, trapping occupants beneath the debris and prompting an emergency response.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service swiftly moved to the scene and rescued four people from the rubble.
The victims were rushed to the Ewim Polyclinic for medical attention.
However, the 12-year-old girl and the 40-year-old woman later succumbed to their injuries despite efforts to save them.
The condition of the two other survivors was not immediately known.
The tragic incident has renewed concerns about the structural integrity of buildings and the dangers posed by heavy rains, particularly in vulnerable communities.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse as residents continue to assess the impact of the downpour on the area.
Meanwhile, local residents have called for increased inspections of buildings and improved drainage systems to help prevent similar disasters in the future.
