DVLA Receives Tractor Unit From Transaid UK To Enhance Driver Training
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has received a tractor unit donated by Transaid UK to strengthen the training capacity of its driving training centre and improve the skills of Class F (articulated truck) drivers.
The donation is expected to provide trainees with enhanced practical learning opportunities and support efforts to develop competent heavy vehicle drivers capable of contributing to improved road safety in Ghana.
The Chief Executive of DVLA, Julius Kotey, in a remark said the equipment will significantly boost its ability to deliver effective training for articulated truck drivers by providing access to modern resources for hands-on instruction.
As part of its broader strategy, the Authority indicated that it plans to extend similar training resources to other regions across the country to ensure drivers nationwide benefit from improved practical training opportunities.
The DVLA expressed appreciation to Transaid UK for the support, noting that the partnership aligns with efforts to enhance professional driving standards and promote safer roads throughout Ghana.
