Dr. Razak Opoku Cautions Politically Exposed Persons Against Bad Associations
Founder of the UP Tradition Institute, Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku, has advised Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) to be cautious about the individuals they associate with, especially when their political party is in government.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Dr. Opoku urged public officials and persons occupying influential positions to exercise restraint and avoid allowing pressure from others to push them into actions that could violate the law.
He warned that individuals who benefit from one's position during periods of political power may not stand by them when they face scrutiny or accountability.
"Those who enjoyed the fruits with you will not be available when the punishment comes," he stated.
Dr. Opoku advised politically exposed persons not to succumb to requests or pressures from friends, associates or supporters to commit "errors" or break laws in order to satisfy them.
He stressed that many people could turn against public officials during periods of probity and accountability, urging those in positions of influence to prioritise integrity, caution and adherence to the law.
