GIFEC Showcases Digital Inclusion Initiatives At 2026 Civil Service Week Fair

The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has participated in the opening day of the 2026 Civil Service Week Policy, Culture and Exhibition Fair at the Accra Sports Stadium.

GIFEC’s Corporate Affairs Team engaged visitors and stakeholders at the exhibition, using the platform to highlight some of the agency’s major initiatives aimed at expanding digital access and reducing Ghana’s digital divide.

Among the programmes showcased were the One Million Coders Programme, the Rural Telephony Project, Digital Transformation Centres, Community ICT Centres (CICs), and Regional Information Centres (RICs).

The initiatives form part of GIFEC’s broader mandate to promote digital inclusion and improve access to information and communication technologies, particularly among underserved communities.

The team also used the exhibition to educate the public on GIFEC’s role in supporting Ghana’s digital transformation agenda and creating opportunities for citizens to benefit from digital technologies.

The participation provided an opportunity for the agency to interact directly with members of the public, stakeholders and other participants at the Civil Service Week event.

The 2026 Civil Service Week Policy, Culture and Exhibition Fair is scheduled to continue until Thursday, August 13, 2026.

GIFEC said its participation reflects its commitment to public engagement, digital inclusion and efforts to support Ghana’s broader digital transformation goals.
