Ghana’s Black Stars are set to begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign with two challenging West African fixtures against Ivory Coast and The Gambia next month.
The four-time African champions will travel to Abidjan to face Ivory Coast between September 23 and 25, 2026, in their opening qualifier.
Ghana will then return home to host The Gambia between September 27 and 29, with the venue for the match yet to be confirmed.
The back-to-back fixtures are expected to provide an early test for the Black Stars as they seek to secure qualification for the 2027 AFCON tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is yet to confirm the exact dates and kick-off times for both matches.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is expected to announce the Black Stars squad and confirm the venue for the home fixture in the coming weeks.
The Black Stars will be aiming for a strong start to the qualifying campaign to build momentum ahead of their remaining group matches.
