YEA Highlights Expanded Employment Opportunities At 2026 National Youth Forum

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has highlighted its progress in creating employment opportunities for young Ghanaians through its traditional employment modules and partnerships with the private sector.

The Agency made this known during its participation in the 2026 National Youth Forum organised by the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment under the theme, “A Sound Youth, A Sound Nation: Your Voice. Your Future. Our Ghana.”

Speaking at the forum, the Chief Executive Officer of YEA, Mr Malik Basintale, said the Agency had made unprecedented progress in expanding employment opportunities for young people across the country.

He said the YEA’s interventions, including its traditional employment modules and private-sector partnerships, were designed to provide young Ghanaians with opportunities to gain employment, acquire experience and build sustainable livelihoods.

Mr Basintale reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the Agency’s programmes and creating more opportunities for young people as part of efforts to address the country’s youth unemployment challenge.

He said the YEA would continue to explore innovative partnerships and strengthen its interventions to empower young Ghanaians and equip them to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The National Youth Forum brought together young people and key stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the youth and explore strategies for building a more empowered and productive generation.

The YEA’s participation underscored its role in implementing government’s youth employment and empowerment agenda and responding to the employment needs of Ghana’s growing youth population.
