NDC Clarifies Eligibility To Propose And Endorse Aspirants
The Director of Elections and IT of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahdi Gibril, has reminded party members that every registered member in good standing is eligible to propose, second or endorse aspirants in the party’s internal electoral processes.
According to him, the exercise is not restricted to any special category or group of party members, stressing that all registered members who meet the requirements are entitled to participate.
Mr Gibril made the clarification in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, as the party continues preparations for its internal activities.
He urged members of the NDC to take note of the applicable procedures and avoid misconceptions about who qualifies to propose, second or endorse aspirants.
The Director of Elections and IT emphasised that participation in the process is open to every registered party member in good standing, rather than being reserved for selected individuals or groups.
His clarification is expected to provide guidance to party members and aspirants as the NDC undertakes its internal processes ahead of the relevant elections.
Mr Gibril has previously provided updates on the party’s electoral arrangements and procedures as part of efforts to ensure clarity and compliance among members.
