DVLA To Break Ground For Vehicle Number Plate Manufacturing Centre
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to break ground for the construction of a new Vehicle Number Plate Manufacturing Centre as part of efforts to strengthen vehicle registration and number plate production in Ghana.
The sod-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the DVLA’s Narhman Office.
The ceremony will be led by the Chief Executive of the DVLA, Julius Neequayekotey, together with the Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Services, Foster Akwasi Asante, and the Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Operations, Iddissah Yeboha Seidu.
The establishment of a dedicated vehicle number plate manufacturing centre is expected to enhance the DVLA’s capacity to produce vehicle registration plates and improve the efficiency of related services.
The facility is also expected to support efforts to strengthen the administration and management of vehicle registration in the country.
The sod-cutting ceremony will formally mark the commencement of the project and is expected to bring together officials of the DVLA and other stakeholders.
The initiative forms part of the DVLA’s broader efforts to improve service delivery and modernise its operations in line with its mandate to promote vehicle and road-user safety.
The Authority continues to emphasise its commitment to protecting motorists and other road users under its motto: “Your Safety, Our Concern.”
