Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has formally filed his nomination to contest the position of National First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) submitted his nomination at the NPP’s national headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra.

Dr Abdul-Hamid was accompanied by a large group of supporters who marched from the Nima Roundabout to the party’s headquarters to officially present his nomination.

The procession was conducted in an orderly manner, with supporters rallying behind Dr Abdul-Hamid as he took another step in his bid to secure one of the party’s top national executive positions.

Receiving the nomination on behalf of the party, Mr Opare Ansah commended Dr Abdul-Hamid and his campaign team for the decorum they had demonstrated throughout the campaign.

He acknowledged the conduct of the aspirant and his supporters and urged all candidates and their followers to maintain the same level of discipline and respect as the contest progresses.
