B5 Plus Pays Over GHS1 Billion In Taxes In Nine Months
B5 Plus Limited has paid more than GHS1 billion in taxes to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) between January and September 2026, earning commendation from the Domestic Tax Revenue Division for what the Authority described as exemplary tax compliance.
The company’s contribution was highlighted during a top management engagement with the Commissioner of the Domestic Tax Revenue Division, Dr Martin Kolbil Yamborigya.
Dr Yamborigya commended B5 Plus for its commitment to meeting its tax obligations and described the company’s contribution as an example of responsible corporate citizenship.
He noted that revenue generated through taxation provides critical funding for national development, including the provision of roads, schools, healthcare, security and social intervention programmes.
The GRA said the company’s compliance demonstrates the important role businesses can play in strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation and reducing the country’s dependence on external financing.
The Authority has therefore encouraged other businesses and individuals to emulate B5 Plus by filing their tax returns accurately and on time and demanding VAT invoices for transactions.
The GRA stressed that improved compliance by taxpayers would help broaden the domestic revenue base and provide government with the resources needed to finance development.
The Authority said such efforts were essential to achieving the broader objective of building a stronger Ghana through domestic revenue mobilisation.
