Dr Kwaku Asiedu-Nketiah Jnr Donates Cardiac Monitor To Tema General Hospital
Dr Kwaku Asiedu-Nketiah Jnr has donated a cardiac monitor to the Paediatric Unit of the Tema General Hospital as part of efforts to support healthcare delivery.
The donation is expected to strengthen the unit’s capacity to monitor the health conditions of children receiving care at the hospital.
As part of the outreach, Dr Asiedu-Nketiah Jnr also provided support to inmates at the James Camp Prison by settling outstanding fines to facilitate the release of some inmates.
He further paid vocational training and licensing fees for other inmates to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
In addition, bags of rice and beans, as well as toiletries, were donated to the prison facility to support the welfare of inmates.
Dr Asiedu-Nketiah Jnr used the various interventions to call on Ghanaians to support the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as Mahama Cares, to help mobilise resources for people requiring critical and specialised healthcare.
He also urged the public to support the implementation of the Non-Custodial Sentencing Law, describing it as a landmark reform aimed at transforming Ghana’s justice system.
The initiatives, he said, were intended to contribute to improved healthcare, support rehabilitation within the correctional system and promote social welfare.
He encouraged individuals and organisations to complement government efforts by supporting initiatives that improve the lives of vulnerable people across the country.
