Foreign Ministry Repatriates Ghanaian Hiplife Sensation Barosky From Manchester
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has confirmed the successful repatriation of Ghanaian national Barosky from Manchester in the United Kingdom to Ghana.
According to the Minister, the Foreign Ministry fully sponsored Barosky’s repatriation as part of its consular responsibilities, with the Ghanaian national arriving safely in the country last night.
Mr Ablakwa said the Ministry was also providing psychosocial support and financial assistance to facilitate Barosky’s reintegration into society.
He expressed appreciation to Ghanaians who drew attention to Barosky’s plight, particularly media personality Nana Romeo, whose intervention helped bring the case to the attention of the authorities.
The Minister also commended the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom for what he described as impressive coordination in facilitating the repatriation.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting Ghanaians in distress abroad, stressing that the Foreign Ministry would continue to work to ensure that no Ghanaian citizen is left behind.
“We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind,” Mr Ablakwa said.
