AngloGold Ashanti Donates GH₵445,000 To Ghana Armed Forces
AngloGold Ashanti has donated GH₵445,000 to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) in support of its self-help housing initiative, the Burma Camp Redevelopment Project.
The donation was presented on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, during a courtesy visit by a delegation from AngloGold Ashanti to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong.
Lt Gen Agyapong received the donation on behalf of the Ghana Armed Forces and expressed appreciation to AngloGold Ashanti for its support towards the redevelopment project.
The contribution is expected to support ongoing efforts to improve accommodation and living conditions for personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces at Burma Camp.
The gesture further highlights the importance of collaboration between corporate institutions and the security services in supporting infrastructure development and the welfare of military personnel.
