Deputy Chief Of Staff Suffers Another Bereavedment
The family of the late Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Dr Isaac Atteh Bampoe Addo, has suffered another bereavement following the death of his twin brother, Mr Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo.
Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo died on Friday, August 21, 2026, after a brief illness, according to the family . His twin brother, Sidney, has now also passed away, barely three weeks after his death.
Until his passing, Dr Bampoe Addo served as Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, where he played a prominent role in the Association’s engagements and negotiations with government and other stakeholders on matters affecting public sector workers.
He was also involved in CLOGSAG’s industrial actions and labour-related engagements, as well as efforts aimed at advancing the welfare and interests of members.
Dr Bampoe Addo contributed to the development of institutional policies and represented the Association in discussions concerning public sector and labour issues.
His death was widely felt within Ghana’s organised labour and public sector community because of his involvement in key negotiations and engagements on behalf of public sector workers.
The passing of his twin brother, Sidney, has now deepened the family’s grief within weeks of Dr Bampoe Addo’s death.
The two brothers were described by their family as beloved twins, brothers, friends and servants of God.
A memorial notice issued in their honour captured their lifelong bond with the words: “Two Hearts • One Journey • Forever in Our Hearts.”
In mourning the brothers, the family quoted Job 1:21: “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Dr Isaac Atteh Bampoe Addo and Mr Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo were biological brothers of the Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo.
