Fire Breaks Out At SIC Insurance Takoradi Office
A fire has broken out at the Takoradi Area Office of SIC Insurance PLC, located at Kobina-Woode House along Harbour View Road, Chapel Hill.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, prompting personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to respond to the scene to bring the situation under control.
In a statement, SIC Insurance said no injuries had been recorded following the incident.
The company said some offices had been affected, although the full extent of the damage was still being assessed.
“We are grateful to report that no injuries have been recorded.
The Ghana National Fire Service is currently on site and working to bring the situation fully under control.”
Takoradi office temporarily closed
SIC Insurance said its Takoradi office would remain temporarily closed to customers while the situation was being assessed.
However, management said a temporary workstation had been established in a safe area outside the building to attend to urgent customer needs.
The company said it would continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as more information becomes available.
Customers have also been advised to access the company’s services through its online platforms, including the AWURA Chatbot on WhatsApp.
