Jomoro Scholarship Initiative Supports Over 1,000 SHS Students
The sixth edition of the Annual Scholarship Initiative in the Jomoro Constituency by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey has supported more than 1,000 brilliant but needy Senior High School (SHS) students from 111 public and private schools.
The initiative, which seeks to ease the financial burden on parents while supporting students’ education, was held at Bonyere Junction and brought together parents, traditional leaders, constituency executives and other stakeholders.
The MP on her part said the scholarship programme goes beyond providing financial assistance, describing it as an investment in the future of children in the Jomoro Constituency.
According to her, the progress of beneficiaries from previous editions, particularly those who have advanced to tertiary institutions, has provided further motivation to sustain the initiative.
“For me, this is more than a scholarship—it is an investment in the future of our children and a way of easing the burden on parents,” she said.
The MP expressed gratitude to parents, chiefs, queen mothers, dignitaries, constituency executives and other stakeholders who participated in the event.
“Our children are Jomoro’s future, and I remain committed to giving them every opportunity to succeed,” she added.
