Washington State Delegation Explores Healthcare Partnership With Ghana Medical Trust Fund
A delegation from Washington State in the United States of America has paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) to explore opportunities for partnership and collaboration in healthcare delivery.
The delegation, led by the Mayor of Shoreline, Washington, Betsy Robertson, engaged management of the GMTF on areas of mutual interest, with particular focus on strengthening healthcare delivery and improving access to specialised medical services.
The visit forms part of efforts to establish strategic partnerships that can support the GMTF’s mandate of expanding access to quality healthcare and improving health outcomes for patients across Ghana.
Management of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, led by its Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, welcomed the delegation and expressed the Fund’s readiness to explore practical areas of collaboration.
The Fund said such partnerships could contribute to meaningful improvements in Ghana’s healthcare system and support efforts to ensure that more patients have access to specialised medical services.
The engagement also underscored the importance of international partnerships in complementing ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and services in Ghana.
