Mahama Holds Talks With WTO Director-General On Trade And Investment

President John Dramani Mahama has held discussions with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on trade, investment and cooperation among Commonwealth countries.

The meeting took place on Tuesday on the sidelines of the ongoing 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.

The discussions focused on strengthening trade and investment relations, as well as exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation among Commonwealth member states.

The engagement aligns with this year’s CHOGM theme, “Accelerating Partnerships for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” which highlights the importance of collaboration in promoting shared prosperity across member countries.

The meeting forms part of President Mahama’s engagements at the Commonwealth summit, which brings together leaders and representatives from member countries to discuss issues of common interest and identify opportunities for cooperation.
